Welcome to the Trek India website!

Join this amazing fundraising trek in North East India as we explore the stunning foothills of the Indian Himalayas.

Our adventure begins in the charming town of Dharamsala – the spiritual home to his holiness the Dalai Lama and the centre of the Tibetan Community. Following our arrival, we set off on our challenge trekking for 5 consecutive days, exploring the charming towns and villages that scatter the foothills of the Himalayas.

The area is known as the Kingdom of Gaddi – Gaddi are a semi-nomadic race who spend months wandering the high passes with their cattle. With stunning scenery as our backdrop, our trek will take us through rhododendron forests, passing Hindu settlements and Buddhist monasteries.

Following on from our challenge, we will then have time to visit India’s most iconic landmark and one of the new Seven Wonders of the World – the incomparable Taj Mahal.

In addition to participating in this awesome challenge and meeting like minded people, we will also have the honour of celebrating Diwali – India’s largest national festival, known as the festival of lights.
