ABSOLUTELY!! The RIDGE WALK is suitable for people of all ages (minimum 17 years
old). The one thing everyone will have in common is a great sense of adventure and the
desire to help Sense the UK’s leading charity for deafblind children and adults. Up to 75
Companies from all over the Region and beyond will be entering teams!
The route is fully way-marked, and maps are given to each team – although navigational
and map reading skills are useful, they are not necessary.
Both routes have been designed to be very challenging, but achievable by anyone as long
as you and your team train before hand. Remember, you will be trekking for 50 miles over
24 hours, or 31 miles in 15 hours depending on which route you have chosen to tackle! –
the fitter you are the more you will enjoy this Challenge.
Trekking training tips can be found on this website to help point you in the right direction.
