The Charity

So why take part?
MedEquip4Kids was founded in 1985 by the parents of a baby girl suffering from meningitis and nursed back to health at Booth Hall Children's Hospital. Her parents were keen to show their gratitude to the Manchester hospital and established the Bobby Bear Appeal fundraising for the Intensive Care Unit.
MedEquip4Kids now works with medical staff, play therapists, community nurses and other registered charities to provide equipment and improve the environment in hospitals across the north of England. The charity’s policy is to fund items known to improve the care provided to children but not readily available with the NHS's limited budgets.
MedEquip4Kids aims to ensure that when children fall ill, suffer injury or are forced to deal with long-term conditions affecting their health and well-being, they have access to the very best healthcare facilities.
MedEquip4Kids depends entirely on voluntary donations from people like you and it is with your help that the charity will be able to continue to make a real difference to children in our community.
